When is the best time of day for your Jupiter Family Photoshoot?

The amazing thing about Dubois park is that you can get beautiful, glowy photos at sunrise, early morning or at sunset time! Of course you still have to take into consideration that day – Sunset works great for week days, excluding holidays. Sunrise sessions at Dubois park work well for any day of the week, wether it’s a holiday or not!

What to wear to your Jupiter family photoshoot

• Choose mom’s outfit first – make sure it’s something you feel great in! I’m going to be asking to you move and interact with the kids. It’s a good idea to wear something that will allow you to easily sit on the ground or kneel to play with your kids without feeling constricted. LONG, FULL LENGTH, FLOWY DRESSES & SKIRTS look amazing on camera because they bring that extra moment to the photos!
• I always recommend sticking to light colors, specially pastels and neutral colors if you want to get that light and airy look in your photos! Earthy tones can also look great when tied together with other neutrals. Some examples of colors you can choose from is beige, cream, blush, peach, mauve, chambray, tan, sage, etc. Stay away from primary colors and neon colors – they take away from the photos and look a lot brighter on camera!
• I usually recommend that only one of you wear a pattern, so you won’t have to worry about clashing with each other. But you can mix and match different textures!
• Lay out all the outfits together and make sure they flow and complement each other without matching!  Wear colors in a similar family or tone, or pick a color in your partner’s pattern. Please, no matching.
• Have everyone try all the outfits about 7 days before your Jupiter family photoshoot (shoes included!) to make sure everything still fits and looks great!

What to bring to your to your family photoshoot at Dubois Park:

• Your child’s favorite snack
• Water for all parties
• Towels and a change of clothes
  • A great way to end a family session (specially in Florida) and get the most precious photos is by letting your little ones in the water (even if it’s just their feet) at the end. Kids usually love water, and this is a great way to get even more laughs and smiles at the end of your session! Their excitement shines through on the photos and it’s a great way to create new memories with your little ones. Because there is water at Dubois Park, i do recommend bringing towels and an extra change of clothes for everyone involved in your Jupiter Family photoshoot. Do this even if you don’t plan on getting into the water, just in case!
• Usually mosquitos and bugs aren’t a problem at Dubois park, but depending on the time of year, I do recommend bringing insect repellent, just in case.
• A happy heart! Show up to your session with a happy heart! Hear me out – Kids can feel what their parents are feeling. Happy hearted parents usually equal happy kiddos!

• To capture your children’s personalities, and make your family photoshoot as fun as possible, i’ll be sure to keep everyone moving and interacting with each other! I have a ton of prompts in my back pocket what will keep the kids giggling and having fun! My goal is to keep everyone’s attention away from the camera and onto each other! I’ll have you walk together, play together, have tickle fights and jumping contests! Everything to keep the kids busy and having fun! When I notice the kids are starting to get bored, we’ll start exploring a new location to get the kids excited again! Dubois park has so many great spots to explore, it’s the perfect location for kids! Your only job? To be present!
