6 Simple Wedding Day Tips for grooms who want smooth and fun wedding photos

1. ENSURE YOUR ATTIRE IS PLANNED, IRONED AND READY TO GO 

Make sure your attire is planned and ready in advance, including your suit or tuxedo, shirt, shoes, and accessories. Make sure everything is fitted, clean, pressed, and ready to wear. Give attention to details like cufflinks, tie pins, or pocket squares to add a touch of personal style.

2. SET ASIDE ALL YOUR WEDDING DAY DETAILS IN A BOX BEFORE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER ARRIVES

Must have groom details: 

– Shoes 

– Watch

– Cufflinks

– Tie or Bowtie 

– Boutonniere

– Cologne

– Vow book

– Any family heirlooms or special accessories (like your grandfather’s pocket watch)

– Note: Don’t worry about your ring, it will be included in the bride’s getting ready details 

3. FIND AN ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR GROOMSMEN TO MAKE YOUR GETTING READY PHOTOS FUN AND UNIQUE.

Activity Ideas:

– Play golf, pool or video games 

– Take a shot together 

– Surprise your groomsmen with a gift

– Have your barber come to the airbnb to cut and style your hair 

– Do something you always do together. Be creative!

4. LEARN TO TIE YOUR TIE

It’s always a good idea to have yourself and your best man learn how to tie a tie. Learning to tie a tie is a simple process that can be easily mastered with a bit of practice.

5. IT’S PHOTO TIME!

Please remove everything from your pockets. It’s also a good idea to avoid chewing gum. Chewing gum creates unnatural mouth movements and distractions in your photos. A good alternative for gum is to carry mints with you! 

5. HAVE FUN!

Our goal is to make the photos quick, easy and fun! Don’t worry so much about the camera. The best photos taken are the natural, unposed ones! So please, have fun, be fully present and enjoy your day to the fullest! I promise: The more fun you have with your groomsmen, your wife, and loved ones the better your photos will come out!
